Ahu is an arrangement of stones, a delineation of space and a navigation waypoint. For Native Hawaiians, it marked safe passage that dispelled doubt and fear and helped us find our way home. Mauna Kea, our sacred and beloved ahu of the Pacific, and Waiau, stand as the backdrop of the future of education that has inspired us at Ahu Journal. Ahu Journal is a transformational experience. We have a deep respect for human variation that we know will lead us to collective excellence. Ahu believes in the liberation found in the making of meaning. In our time of system standardization, we recognize that truth and freedom draw forth what is best of humanity.
